I grew up in the boonies of North Carolina. During my younger years, church was a 45 minute drive away and the grocery store was 30. I am now spoiled in the suburbs of Arizona - with my husband, four children and three grandchildren - with stores within a few miles.

I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and have had moments of personal conversion throughout my life. In addition to being a member of the church, long periods of deep depression and more panic attacks than I prefer to think about have become a large part of my earthly experience.

Growing up, I watched mental health consume those I loved. The heartache it created stirred a deep desire for me to have a very different experience - especially once I realized mental health wanted to attack me as well. Learning what things may or may not give me moments of yellow - moments of relief, hope and comfort - has helped me emotionally survive.

My greatest desire is for others to find their yellow as I continue to search for - and find - mine.
